Export Manager Construction

As a Belgian construction company, our customer is internationally active and an A-brand. Their products are renowed in the whole world as qualitative & trustworthy. With a production-HQ in West-Vlaanderen, they're currently expanding and growing commercially. They are active in both the traditional distribution channels, and the project market. To support & achieve this growth, the international commercial director is looking for a new European Export Manager.

Poste

The Export manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of international trade, including developing export markets, managing existing customer relationships, developing new prospects and ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws. His/Her main focus will be flat roof projects with special attention to the photovoltaic market. He/She will develop partnerships and promote system-selling all over Europe. The export manager will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of- and passion for- global trade, a keen eye for detail and the drive to succeed and grow.

More specifically, you will have the following responsabilities:

- Be able and willing to extensively travel in Europe (+50%)
- Generate positive enthusiasm and excitement on the market
- Use initiative to develop effective and profitable solutions to challenges in export
- Develop & implement strategic export sales plans, demonstrating growth opportunities
- Establish and manage relationships with international partners, mainly flat roofers, membrane producers and building owners.
- Manage the quote process to ensure timely processing and accuracy & timely follow up
- Monitor regulations, legislation and compliance requirements (by law or specific customer requirements) in all focus countries
- Develop and maintain export databases, records and reports within Sales Force
- Monitor market trends, competition activities and customer feedback
- Address customer inquiries and complaints
- Perform export review on a regular basis

Profil

-Bachelor or equivalent work experience with sales/business accumen
-You're willing to travel +50% in Europe.
-You speak Dutch & English fluently.
-When in Belgium, you're willing to visit the HQ in West-Vlaanderen on a regular basis.
-You have a clear professional international experience.
-You have at least 5 years of sales experience & are willing to do prospection.
-You have experience in the construction or project industry
- Capability to deliver. Ability to develop & execute growth strategies in evolving & technically demanding markets
- Result oriented and creative thinker with the ability to consistently "close deals"
- Ability to take ownership and take fast decisions with a high degree of autonomy
