Head of E-commerce

Our client provides a wide productrange in durables and accessories distibuted through both consumer retail and online channels.


In this role your main purpose will be to:

• Provide direct leadership to the e-commerce / marketing team.
• Collaborate with the Sales Leadership Team in developing new strategies for the one to five-year plans.
• Plan objectives for the future of the e-channel, both offline and online, and achieve sales & budget targets.
• Be the subject matter expert for the complete e-commerce channel

Tasks & responsibilties:
• Member of the Management Team
• Contribute to setting and implementing the overall e-commerce strategy (D2C).
• Develop & implement customized and innovative sales strategies, taking into account the growing importance of the E-commerce landscape
• Drive business in overall commercial priorities, sharing best practices and as appropriate and leading cross departmental projects
• Lead a team of 12 direct reports in developing and executing innovative and creative new e-commerce sales plans in which both the online and offine presence of the brand is strengthened.
• Work closely with both the retail manager and category manager in order to allign growth strategies.
• Lead terms negotiations and ensure they remain in line with overall sales strategy with Benelux counterparts
• Present the account plans to the Managing Director for approval


• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is mandatory.
• At least 6-8 years of experience in an e-commerce or other relevant commercial digital marketing role.
• In-depth understanding of the retail and E-commerce landscape in The Netherlands.
• In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms, technologies, and trends, particularly within the D2C content.
• Strong people management ability and experience in leading a (small) team.
• The ability to work in a data-driven manner and make sound commercial decisions based on data.
• Strong verbal and presentation skills and the ability to persuade and influence on a factual basis.
• Proven commercial track record and the ability to lead and inspire teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and familiarity with web analytics tools.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
