Our client is a leading global manufacturer of electrical, security and installation solutions. Their cable fastening systems are used, e.g., in office buildings, industry, tunnels, hospitals and shopping centres.

The Business Development Manager Germany is mainly responsible for growth potential within the customers strategic organization. Strong communication skills combined with a professional network within the industry are your tools to build lasting relationships with new and existing customers.

Responsibilities:
- Create a list of target Customers, Distributors, Specifiers and Contractors to start the path to growth in Germany
- Create a list of projects that the company should be bidding for
- Partner with colleague salesmen to empower cross functional sales
- Awareness of the opportunities and threats that customers face in their sector
- Oversee the bigger picture with a 'bird's eye view' without losing sight of the interests of the team and the organization
- Effortlessly present this vision to customers and colleagues
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to increase brand awareness
- Arrange business meetings with prospective/potential clients
- Open doors and spot and seize commercial opportunities
- Input regarding new products and developments is crucial and highly valuable
- Involve customers in innovative developments and convert them into sales results
- Having meaningful solution orientated conversations with customers, keeping all brands in mind
- Being able to resolve customer issues
- Ensure that every approach chosen is a win-win for both the client and the company


Reporting to: Sales & Marketing Director

Location: Homeoffice

Profil

Languages:
- German fluent (native)
- English fluent

Education:
- University degree or relevant vocational training and corresponding professional experience

Experience:
- Background in electrical engineering and/or the mechanical side
- Ideally professional experience at a competitor
- Solid experience in a similar function within the industrial sector in lean manufacturing or business system-based company
- Solid network within the industry
