As an Senior Account Manager in the Kitchen Retail segment, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients within your designated region (Belgium). Your primary focus will be on building strong, sustainable relationships with independent retailers, regional store chains, and purchasing groups. You will negotiate commercial terms, enhance product distribution, and ensure the effective deployment of marketing budgets.

You will work independently to plan customer visits, analyze market developments, and deliver strategic insights that drive sales performance. Beyond expanding existing partnerships, you will proactively acquire new customers, monitor ongoing projects, ensure follow-through on commitments, and optimize the long-term performance of your client portfolio. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint will be key to your success, as you will regularly generate reports, analyze sales data, and deliver impactful presentations. Your ability to communicate clearly and negotiate effectively will support cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and business control teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and develop your client portfolio by conducting regular store visits and fostering strong relationships with independent retailers, regional chains, and wholesalers in your territory.
- Negotiate commercial terms and marketing initiatives aimed at increasing sales and driving the distribution of the products.
- Identify growth opportunities and expand the product offering with existing clients to strengthen the company position in the region.
- Gather insights into market trends and competitor activity within the kitchen retail industry to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts, analyze performance data, and optimize the client portfolio through targeted sales strategies.
- Represent the company at corporate and partner events to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ensure customer budgets are effectively allocated to agreed commercial and marketing activities in accordance with company guidelines.
- Utilize Excel to report on sales trends and develop strategic action plans for client development.
- Create and deliver professional presentations in PowerPoint and report progress during internal sales meetings.
- Closely monitor project progress, ensure timely execution of commitments, and maintain strong client engagement throughout the customer journey.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in sales or the kitchen retail industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in a commercial or economic field.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and Dutch, with excellent command of English.
- Proven sales expertise with a strong track record in account management and negotiation.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and sustain client relationships.
- Flexible mindset, willingness to go beyond a traditional 9-to-5 schedule.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (reporting) and PowerPoint (presentations).
- Willingness to spend 4 days per week in the field, with 1 fixed office day per week.
