The HR Officer is responsible for transactional and administrative tasks within the HR operations. The HR Officer is a first-line point of contact for employees and supports the local management team in all operational HR related aspects. The position also includes to a certain degree facility, office management and project management related tasks.
The HR officer Belgium will be responsible for:
- Act as first-line point of contact for employees with day-to-day administrative/legal queries: resolving personally where possible and transferring to HR Manager and/or external payroll partner where needed
- Supporting HR Manager to streamline HR processes, standards and policies between the location and Central and ensuring a smooth relationship with Central
- Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures including payroll, local time and attendance, recruitment and selection, retention, legal compliance, compensation and benefits, employee relations an employment practices relevant to the business needs
- Responsible for total recruitment and selection process (advertisement, point of contact for temp agencies etc.) for internships, VIE and across all functions in Belgium
- Responsible for agreeing and advising line management on all contracts, conditions of employment, salary packages, benefits and payroll
- Manage onboarding process for new employees together with Line Manager to ensure best in class onboarding experience
- Manage process for offboarding, terminations of employment, advise line
management regarding process and best possible solution for both the employee
and the business
- Keep personnel files up to date with all relevant documentation
- Monthly payroll by providing necessary data to the external payroll partner in time: monthly export of data, changes, illness, expenses etc.
- Responsible for recording and keeping up to date attendance records (holidays, sick leave, overtime)
- Responsible for employee benefit insurances: acting as first-line point of contact for employees and interacting with external employee benefits insurance supplier
- Responsible for the Health Policy within the organisation, including sick leave counselling (act as Case Manager) and ensuring that the Company sickness policy
is carried out in accordance with government legislation
- Owning and managing the People Awards Scheme
- Increasing employee engagement by the roll out of Our Sustainable plan (CSR, I&D, Health-well Being, People Awards, Sus@n) and Organization of teambuilding sessions and events, supported by Office and Management Assistant
- Run reports relating to headcount, sickness, work levels, PDP, benefits, bonus, etc. requested by HR manager
- Responsible for running reports for MU and circulate internally and reports on international request, and financial reports for indirect costs budget, being
accurate on datas between both systems ¡V gate keeper
- Act as an interfact b/w company and external organization
- Implementation of training policies, participate in the analyses of training needs & elaboration of annual training plans
Educational degree
- Bachelor education level (HR, Business Administration etc.)
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in managing HR tasks
- Proficient knowledge of HR local legislation (labour law, social security)
- Experience in working in a complex & international environment
- Proficient IT skills ¡V Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Excel
