Account manager Retail & trade marketeer

The company focuses on the top segment of the food industry, with Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Belgium as its main markets. In order to expand in a new market segment, we are on the lookout for a Jr. Key Account Manager / Jr. Trade Marketing Manager for a combined role to maintain and further develop this leadership position. You will work from one of the company facilities in (Eastern) Belgium.

Your Mission

You will hold a unique combined role within the Retail Sales Team. This position combines the roles of Jr. Key Account Manager for a large category of products and Jr. Trade Marketing Manager for all product categories, including the brand new innovations. You will work within the Retail Sales Team and report directly to the Trade Marketing Manager/Key Account Manager.

Jr. Key Account Manager:

• Objective: Further development and expansion of theproduct categories with all Belgian retail customers.
• Tasks:
• Manage assortment, pricing, placement, promotion, and budget to achieve commercial objectives.
• Daily follow-up and development of relationships with customers, in collaboration with the team of Internal Sales and Customer Service.
• Contribute to the setup of the annual commercial strategic action plan.
• Build strong relationships with key accounts, act as their primary contact, anticipate their needs, and support customers to be successful.

Jr. Trade Marketing Manager:

• Objective: Support the Trade Marketing Manager and Key Account Managers in all categories.
• Tasks:
• Analyze market developments to follow trends at retailers and translate these into relevant insights, strategic plans, and action steps for all product categories.
• Actively discover and follow up on new market trends and concepts, translating them into applicable strategies and actions.
• Responsible for the daily management and optimization of the trade marketing and communication activities of the clients.
• Prepare and co-deliver client-specific presentations at all major retail customers in Belgium.
• In collaboration with the Sales Controller, analyze our own data to follow and optimize top and bottom line developments with clients, making targeted recommendations to the Key Account Managers.


Your profile:

• Academic Background: You have a Master's degree in Commercial Engineering, Applied Economic Sciences (AES), or Business Sciences, or you bring a comparable level of academic thinking and working.
• Work Experience: With at least 2 years of experience in Retail, Food, FMCG, or private label sectors, you bring a solid foundation for the dynamic market in which we operate.
• Technical Skills: You have excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), which are essential for the daily management of data and presentations.
• Communication and Negotiation: You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate successfully internally and externally.
• Analytical and Strategic Thinking: You excel in analytical thinking and can analyze relevant data to formulate substantiated advice. Your strategic sensitivity enables you to delve deep into decision-making processes and their impact on business results.
• Creativity and Innovation: You think creatively and innovatively, always seeking new paths and solutions to strengthen our market position and better serve our customers.
• Commercial Awareness: Your commercial and market-oriented thinking helps you to identify and seize opportunities, contributing directly to our growth.
• Language Skills: You are fluent in Dutch and French; additional language skills such as English and German give you an edge in our international context.
