The organization is currently seeking a Product Manager who will contribute to the continued growth and market positioning of one of its key brands. Up to now, product and marketing activities have been driven by a more traditional approach, with a strong focus on planning and structure. As a result, there is now a clear ambition to bring more creativity, innovation, and digital thinking into the process.
2. THE POSITION
2.1. Mission
The Product Manager is responsible for product and pricing management, as well as the related processes for all models within the company’s automotive portfolio. For the assigned brand and/or model range, this role develops the line-up and pricing strategies and collaborates with other departments to effectively market the products. By using market and competitive analysis, the Product Manager identifies new business opportunities and ensures that the product portfolio remains competitive and profitable.
2.2. Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Actively participate in the implementation of the product strategy for the assigned model range to ensure market competitiveness and achieve targeted margin contributions.
- Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks, providing relevant product performance insights to stakeholders.
- Analyze customer profiles based on CRM and lead data to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, industry regulations, and internal company standards, and support program changes to achieve business objectives.
2. Financial Management
- Contribute to the annual budget process for the assigned brand(s) and/or models.
- Monitor vehicle sales performance, pricing, competitiveness, and stock levels to maximize profitability.
3. Product Lifecycle Management
- Support lifecycle management activities in line with manufacturer guidelines, local requirements, and market developments.
- Develop briefs and action plans to address both short- and long-term business goals.
- Assist in coordinating production and ordering (e.g., volume, powertrain, timing) to align with financial and operational targets.
- Maintain accurate and complete product information in internal systems to ensure smooth operational and administrative processes.
- Support the definition and implementation of demo and showroom car policies for the assigned model range.
4. Pricing & Sales Support
- Contribute to pricing strategies and actions for the assigned models, ensuring alignment with internal policies and local market conditions.
- Initiate promotional actions and campaigns based on the product lifecycle stage and market needs (e.g., discounts, financing offers, special promotions).
- Maintain accurate product and pricing data in internal systems.
- Develop and update external product materials such as price lists, dealer communications, brochures, pricing announcements, and online configurators.
- Prepare and distribute communications to retail and fleet partners regarding lifecycle events, offers, and pricing actions.
- Present product updates and commercial actions during internal and field meetings.
- Support the local fleet team by:
* Managing specific requests for product specifications or configurations.
* Providing product briefings at internal or external events.
5. Marketing & Communication
- Support the development of marketing campaigns together with the Marketing and Communications teams, aligned with the assigned product portfolio, product lifecycle, and sales objectives.
- Contribute to the development and content management of product-related websites and digital materials.
- Support the creation of local PR communications and media content.
- Provide product expertise and input at local PR, marketing, and fleet events.
- Collaborate with the Training department on training plans related to the product lifecycle, and assist in the creation of training materials for the assigned portfolio. Contribute to the development and localization of product-related content.
- Deliver product training for the retail network and/or external partners.
- Collaborate with external partners (e.g., accessory suppliers or body builders) to develop market-oriented product offers.
- Monitor competitor actions and market performance to refine strategies accordingly.
KPIs of the Role
- Maintain competitive price positioning and model line-up within the brand’s strategy while ensuring appropriate margin contribution per unit.
- Conduct regular training sessions and ensure timely implementation of pricing and offer updates for the assigned model range.
3. THE PROFILE
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
LANGUAGES
- Fluent in Dutch and French.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in product management, market analysis, or a similar position.
- Experience in the automotive sector is considered an advantage.
- Experience in project management.
- Previous experience in an international or corporate environment is an asset.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Familiarity with CRM or data management systems.
- General automotive knowledge or a strong interest in the automotive industry is a major advantage.
