To further accelerate international growth — with a specific focus on the African market — we are currently seeking an International Key Account Manager. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key regional and international accounts across the african continent. You will drive commercial performance, identify new growth opportunities, and ensure close alignment with retail and distribution partners in the region.
As International Key Account Manager Africa, you will take the lead in developing and expanding commercial activities across the African continent. This is a high-impact role for an entrepreneurial and hands-on commercial professional eager to build a lasting presence in emerging markets.
Your mission is to manage and grow customer relationships across diverse African markets, with a focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and service delivery. You will gradually assume ownership of strategic accounts and lead field execution, working toward a long-term vision of market development and regional leadership.
With a focus on proximity, service, and cultural understanding, this position combines strategic account management, business development, and operational fieldwork. The successful candidate will be expected to operate autonomously, adapt to diverse environments, and deliver real value on the ground.
Strategic Objectives
-Develop and manage commercial relationships across priority countries including Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, and others.
-Ensure a strong service approach that includes product delivery, in-store execution, and post-sales support.
-Take ownership of regional business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities and filling service gaps.
-Create and implement go-to-market strategies tailored to local retail and consumer environments.
-Gradually assume a strategic leadership position in the region, supported by a phased handover process.
-Collaborate with international colleagues to ensure alignment and share best practices across markets.
LANGUAGES
- Fluent in English and French – essential for communication across key regions.
- Arabic is highly valued, especially for North African territories.
- Dutch and German are advantageous for internal collaboration and broader regional integration.
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of Key Account Management experience, preferably in retail, consumer goods, or related industries.
- Background in the lighting, home improvement, or DIY sectors is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record in international sales or emerging market development.
- Experience with field execution, including installations, merchandising, and service coordination.
- Comfortable using digital tools (e.g., WhatsApp) to stay in close contact with clients and partners.
- Skilled in adapting to multi-cultural, decentralized environments and working independently.
