Commercial Manager

Our client is an independent exploration and production company, pursuing exploration opportunities, developing existing assets and commercializing new discoveries. They operate fields and work as an operator and a licensee to deliver oil and gas when and where it's needed. Sustainable growth is achieved by optimising operational efficiency, increasing productive capacity and extending international presence. Their vision is to become the leading international independent exploration and production company and currently employ about 2.000 people, producing over 150 kboepd.

Poste

The Commercial Manager will be part of the Senior Management in The Netherlands and will be responsible for all upstream commercial activities in the country. The focus is on achievement of objectives through expert advice and support. The Commercial Manager will lead and build a team of two to five Commercial Advisors, identify Commercial opportunities and continuously strive to improve the organization.
Responsibilities include to:
- Ensure commercial support and participation in all company functions.
-Participate in area strategic planning.
- Provide assurance in commercial areas to Development, Operations, Projects and Subsurface.
- Develop annual action plan and associated KPI's.
- Identify (human) resource/support needs to carry out agreed activities.
- Build good relationships and alliances with stakeholders such as license operators, partners and authorities.

Profil

Experience
- Minimal BSc, preferably Business, Legal, Finance or related
- Fluent in English
- Minimal 15 year experience in the oil and gas sector in a commercial, subsurface or engineering environment
- Minimal 5 year experience in managing and developing a commercial team
- Proven track record in negotiating contracts in the upstream domain and/or offshore licenses
- Commercial experience in taking Dutch operated assets from development to production
- Experience with financial analysis, commercial analysis, risk analysis and contract law
