" Create and lead the DACH category agenda and vision
" Coach & develop the DACH category team / upskill the DACH sales team
" Build retail relationships & stretch retailer thinking; inspire them to find pioneering ways to sell more soap
" Drive performance across all of PAD's categories
" Shape, impact and influence the business direction from data and insight
" Turn insight into action at retailer level
" Own and spend data budget effectively and manage external data suppliers
" Shape the direction & results of the DACH business as a member of the DACH 'PAD Leadership Team' (PLT)

As a Category Management expert, you will:
" Have built long term winning category relationships with German retailers which have grown a category
" Led range reviews in top German retailers and be a pro at winning incremental distribution and listings
" Be expert / have strong knowledge & understanding of German market data sources. Wider EU is a plus
" Turn data into actionable insight
" Be an expert on 'the fixture' & understand how consumers shop
" Have the potential to develop a pioneering category vision and execute it in the market
" Have the ability to coach and develop your direct reports as well as the wider team
" Motivate and inspire the team behind a vision
" Manage performance, set clear objectives and help your team prioritise workload


This is not a typical Category job in a typical FMCG company; as well as the basics, you will need to possess the unique blend of skills of a pioneer...you will:
" Be analytical as well as creative, energetic, flexible and results-driven
" Have a passion for people and developing talent
" The ability to manage a diverse, ever-changing and interesting workload
" Be at home being a trailblazer and have the energy / leadership skills to lead a team (and the industry) to swim against the tide
" Have communication & influencing skills to drive collaborative relationships with DACH team & to enable you to deliver results through others
" You'll have 'the smarts' (i.e. a first class education and work experience) …and the flexibility to apply it to help us grow our business
" Love devising the right category plans & be confident in coming up with the right solutions with your team…and then implementing them at pace
" Have learnt your trade through 6+ years working in a branded FMCG environment in Germany…you're likely to have predominantly category management experience
" Be passionate about our mission, brand & products, how they work and how they are made (and what happens when the bottles are empty).
