This Belgian chemical production company is a worldwide player who's acknowledged for quality and performance. Active in B2B, they provide the best quality materials (chemials and metal derivaties) to a wide range of players in different fields of activity. As a producer with facilities around the globe, Europe and Asia remain focus areas for one of their global hubs based in Belgium. We're looking for an international Key Account Manager and Business Development Manager to be responsible for these 2 regions.
You will be the primary representative for existing customers in EMEA (+/- 80%) and South East Asia (20%). This involves managing, building and strengthening relationships with existing customers at various organizational levels. It also involves maintaining business, identifying and closing sales opportunities. You are able to maintain accurate customer records, track contract updates and renewals. You are able to develop a thorough understanding of our products and services. You will design and implement an aggressive pricing strategy in collaboration with management.
Responsibilities:
"You are in charge of the customer portfolio which today consists of between 70 and 100 customers,
"You deal with the questions and requests of the customers and respond to their needs.
"You monitor accounts, ensuring that they receive services that are within their budget and meet their needs.
"You meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve operations.
"You identify sales opportunities and communicate regularly with the team.
"You prepare account plans, visit reports and sales budgets and ensure that key performance indicators are met (CRM system).
"You organize and participate in customer and plant visits.
"You are the main user of the CRM system.
"You maintain relationships with your colleagues in the Canadian and Indian sites in order to learn best practices to help each other, but also to understand the activities of other subsidiaries.
"You support the development of the group's new products, you report customer needs to the relevant departments, you promote the use of new mixtures or the impact on the quality of products or their environmental impact.
"You manage, among customers, the network of distributors, giving them the necessary training and support, but also accompanying them in strategic commercial discussions.
"You participate in international trade fairs and shows necessary for your commercial development, the extension of your customer portfolio or your geographical expansion.
"You optimize your trips abroad by taking into account the coherence of your agenda and your ecological footprint. You will therefore gather your meetings abroad in order to optimize your time but also to set an example in terms of environmental costs.
"You will spend time on site in order to collaborate with all your colleagues: back office, production, management... When you are not abroad, a minimum presence of 3 days per week is required.
Education
Higher education degree (ideally in chemistry) or equivalent through experience
Languages
Fluent in French and English
German, Spanish or any other language is a plus
Knowledge / Experience
"You have an experienced commercial profile
"You already have 5 to 7 years of international sales experience within the industry (B2B). If you have proven experience in the chemical industry, you will have a strong advantage
" Excellent written and oral communication skills
" Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
"Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed goals and receive positive feedback from customers
"Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
"Expected travel: 50% / Home 20% / office 30%.
"Knowledge of software: MS Office Pro and CRM system
