Business Development and Digital Marketing Manager

The Business Development & Digital Marketing Manager designs and executes, in dialogue with the Executive Director and relevant team members, the digital marketing and business development strategy of the alliance to promote the activities of the alliance within its community as well as to improve awareness among external stakeholders.

The Business Development & Digital Marketing Manager drives and executes strategic internal and external business development and marketing initiatives related to a variety of projects, supporting the digital communications, and engagement strategy of the alliance while enhancing its reputation.

Role and Responsibilities
- Translate the needs of our personas throughout their entire journey (onboarding, lead, retention) into impactful digital marketing campaigns.
- Define marketing automation flows for B2B to convert leads into new business and to engage, nurture and activate existing clients.
- Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
- Track and report performance of digital marketing campaigns. Gather and translate marketing data into actionable and visual insights.
- Set KPIs and use analytics, goals, and dashboards to measure and optimize effectiveness of marketing activities. Communicate results to related stakeholders and define strategic actions together.
- Work closely together with the marketing and business development team in Brussels and th the digital marketing and business development teams at members firms to translate the global strategy into locally relevant initiatives and campaigns.
- Manage the processes with directors.
- Manage media relation activities (including with legal and HR press, directories, and social media).
- Manage marketing initiatives and online business development activities such as events organisation and planning (internal and external), including design in collaboration with the relevant Partners.
- Coordinate the pre-production, production and post-production of digital and hybrid events, webinars, and podcasts in cooperation with other team members and external suppliers.


Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration or comparable training.

Fluent in English

- At least 5 years of proven marketing and online business development experience either in-house or within an agency.
- Experience working in the professional services industry or consulting also considered.
- Demonstrable in-depth experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.
- Experienced with content-based and journey-driven marketing campaigns to acquire new leads and to retain existing clients.
- Triggered by numbers and focused on providing a seamingless and superior customer experience.
- Hands-on experience with setting-up marketing automation campaigns in a tool such as Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Hubspot.
- Good knowledge of Google Analytics & Google Data Studio.
- Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, with good grammar and literacy.
- Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the professional services industry in general.
- Significant creative and innovative experience in social media, web development, print publications and audio-visual content creation/commissioning.
- Proficient in WordPress (or are a fast learner) and familiar with a broad range of offline and online marketing tools as well as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence internal and external partners.
- Energy, motivation, and passion in abundance, and like to work on many projects and campaigns simultaneously.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment on time and within budget.
- Experience in managing teams in an international environment.
